"Young MacDonald" is an animated Sesame Street song based on the traditional song, "Old MacDonald."
The song describes Young MacDonald's trip to the big city and the various different sounds he hears, from his taxi cab to a cash register to an airport.
Airings of the segment from Episode 3543 onward featured a re-recorded soundtrack with vocals by Jerry Nelson.
Jack Baker plays the banjo on the song.[1]
