Yuri Gagarin's gift to Jack Crichton
Yuri Gagarin (1934-1968) was a Soviet cosmonaut who became the first human to travel into space, completing one orbit of Earth in 1961.

- In the first episode of Farscape, as John Crichton prepares for his launch into space, Jack Crichton gives John a puzzle ring. The ring, Jack's good luck charm, was a gift to Jack from Yuri Gagarin. John takes the ring into space with him, and it makes several appearances throughout the first season. John gives the ring to D'Argo in the first season finale, but it is ultimately lost when D'Argo loses consciousness while floating in space.
