Zac Efron (b. 1987) is an actor known for his role as Troy Bolton in the High School Musical movies.
He appears in Sesame Street's 43rd season, explaining the word "patience" with Elmo in a Word of the Day segment. Efron had previously been caricatured as the Muppet "Trey" in the spoof "Pre-School Musical" (First: Episode 4165).
In addition to the High School Musical franchise, Efron's other work for Disney Channel includes a few specials and promos as himself and a guest spot on The Suite Life of Zack & Cody. Later transitioning from a teen star into more mainstream films, credits include the musicals Hairspray and The Greatest Showman, Me and Orson Welles, The Lucky One, and The Paperboy, plus voice work in Dr Seuss' The Lorax and Robot Chicken.
