Zak the Yak appears in the Elmo the Musical segment "Mountain Climber the Musical."
Zak is a yodeling yak (with an Italian accent) found on the very squarey trail to the top of Mount Biggest Everest. He only lets climbers pass after they have yodeled after him, although he'll show off his own complicated yodeling skills just for fun.
The puppet is recycled from Monica the Musk Ox from The Animal Show.
