Zerbat appears in the Farscape episode "A Prefect Murder." He is the son of clan chieftain Gaashah.
Wanting him to grow up safe and experience new things, Gaashah sent Zerbat off-world when he was young. Zerbat's arrival is met with contention by the other clanspeople, who believe he has become corrupted by outside influences. Following Gaashah's murder, Zerbat takes his father's place as clan leader and successor to the prefecture, much to the indignation of the other clanspeople (especially the Jabuka Clan Chieftain).
Due to his time off-planet, Zerbat is more receptive to the Moya crew. He helps them unveil the truth behind his father's assassination and even forms a romantic relationship with Sikozu. The two plan to run away together, but after Zerbat becomes prefect and the Moya crew begins to leave, Sikozu breaks up with him.
