Zoe's mother is a Sesame Street monster, the mother of Zoe and wife to Brad.
She has never been seen on screen in live action, but she has two distinct looks in various illustrations that alternate back-and-forth chronologically:

No indication is given in the books that Zoe has two different mothers — either by adoption, remarriage, or other means — just that she has a variety of hair and fur styles.
