Zoe Saldana (b. 1978) is an American actress known for her roles as Uhura in the 2009 remake of Star Trek, Neytiri in Avatar, Anamaria in Disney's Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl, and Gamora in Guardians of the Galaxy.
Saldana demonstrated the word "transportation" with Elmo in a Word of the Day segment in a 2010 episode of Sesame Street.
