Zorro is a fictional character created in 1919 by Johnston McCulley. The character has been featured in numerous books, films, television series, and other media.

- On Sesame Street in the 1980s, Luis appeared in several episodes as "SeΓ±or Zero," a spoof of Zorro.
- In an animated Sesame Street insert (first used in Episode 0960), a young girl finds a stick and makes believe various things with it. One scenario she acts out is being Zorro, donning his costume and using the stick as a sword to carve out a letter Z.
- Baby Rowlf pretends he's Zorro in the Muppet Babies episode "Hats, Hats, Hats." The episode incorporates archival footage from a Zorro production and Rowlf sings his own version of the character's theme song. He struggles, however, making a legible "Z."
- In the 4000th episode of Sesame Street, Big Bird gets a book in the mail, titled "The Mark of Elefante."
- Ernie appears as a spoof of Zorro in a German Sesame Street t-shirt.
